And it’s not meant to document everything.
A dance portrait is a fine art interpretation of your movement —
a moment carefully designed, guided, and photographed to look like it belongs in a magazine, a film still, or a gallery.
It’s about choosing one (or a few) powerful expressions of your talent and preserving them beautifully.

Every dance portrait session is thoughtfully designed around:
- your style of dance
- your level and strengths
- the movement you want to celebrate
- the mood and story you want the image to tell
You bring your own dancewear, shoes, and costumes that matter to you.
At the studio, you’ll also have access to our collection of flowing garments and fabrics that add movement, drama, and softness to your images.
I guide you throughout the session — helping refine lines, angles, and expression — so you never feel rushed or unsure of what to do next.
Many dancers (and parents) worry about being “camera shy” or not knowing how a photoshoot will feel.
You don’t need to perform for the camera.
You move — and I take care of the rest.
The session unfolds naturally, with space to try movements, review images together, and adjust as we go. Most dancers are surprised by how quickly the nerves disappear once we begin.
Session Options & Timing
Dance portrait sessions are designed to be unhurried and fully guided.
Session Fee: $150
Includes:
- session design and consultation
- guided dance photoshoot
- access to studio wardrobe (flowing fabrics)
Session length:
- up to 3 hours without hair & makeup
- up to 4 hours with professional hair & makeup
Professional hair & makeup is optional and available for an additional $275.
Images are purchased separately after your session.

After the photoshoot, you’ll review your images on a large screen and select the portraits you truly love.

Every image you purchase includes both:

A-la-carte images begin at $400 per portrait.
Collections start at $2,100.
